News off the wire today has several players returning—or about to return—from their stint on the DL, so I thought we’d take a quick run through on each player with some additional news flairs added in for you guys.
In addition to the recent DL activations, you can also check out Adam Spencer’s breakdown of 5 Injured Waiver Wire Sleepers as a supplement to this news.
Aside from the players who have already been activated, each additional player comes equipped with confirming source news and/or Tweets from the most reliable sources in the game right now.

Hanley Ramirez – Marlins: The Marlins have reactivated Hanley Ramirez from the 15 day DL, and he WILL start tonight against Cole Hamels and the Phillies.
Ramirez is slated to leadoff tonight but was batting just .210/.306/.309 over his first 207 plate appearances before the injuries, and Hamels is on fire this year at 8-2 with a stellar 2.58 ERA (career best thus far) and a .98 WHIP.
It isn’t the greatest matchup for Ramirez, and if you have another player who is doing well in his place, I would recommend sticking with him tonight.

Ryan Zimmerman – Nationals: The Nationals have reactivated “Zimm” from the 15 day DL list (abdominal injury) and he will start tonight against the Cardinals.
Zimm was hitting .357 before landing on the DL, but only cracked one homer in that time as well.
Zimmerman is a career .289 hitter versus the Cardinals and should be reactivated in all formats as soon as possible.
He and the Nationals will face Cardinals pitcher Jamie Garcia who, in three of his last four outings hasn’t lasted more than five innings and has lost two of his last three outings outright.

Tsuyoshi Nishioka – Twins: The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that Tsuyoshi Nishioka told Japanese reporters he COULD return to the starting lineup as soon as Wednesday.
The key word is COULD and there hasn’t been much confirmation of that claim at the time of the article, so I would take this proclamation with a grain of salt.
It isn’t as if he was having the greatest of seasons anyway (barely hitting over the Mendoza Line), so I wouldn’t rush to plug him into your lineup just yet.

Joe Mauer – Twins: Another Twins player who might be of more interest is Joe Mauer who is reportedly coming off the DL this Thursday or Friday.
Multiple sources are now saying the same thing with manager Ron Gardenhire on the actual Minnesota Twins site confirming the reports, so all signs currently point to a start either Thursday of Friday.
Regardless of when he starts, the good news is Mauer is coming back, and says he feels better than ever, so fantasy fans have much to be happy about.

Derek Jeter – Yankees: One player on this list who could be HEADED to the DL is Derek Jeter, reports SI's Jon Heyman.
Heyman says that the Yankees are "strongly considering" placing Derek Jeter on the DL thanks to that Grade 1 calf strain which is a pretty big deal.
It would be a pretty bad situation for the Yankees if they were without Jeter during interleague play, but a pretty good situation for fantasy hitters facing the Yankees without their star defenseman.
But be cautious until confirmation actually comes over the wire, which could take a day or two.
Hope this helps guys, and if you have a specific question, leave it below and I or one of our highly knowledgeable staff members will quickly respond.
