Is the NFL going the way of the NBA in reference to their referees?

These fines are getting silly, every week there's like 5+ guys forking over 10k+ and I can't recall ever being told where all this fine money is going.
Seriously turning me off the league how pussified Goodell is making it.

Cutler sent the check by FedEx, but it was intercepted by UPS.

Player fines collected by the league are used to support retired player programs, including the NFL Players Association's Players Assistance Trust, disaster relief initiatives and other charities supporting youth, education and sports-related medical research.

    1. Anybody know what the "abusive conduct" was?
    2. Anybody know what the running total is for fines levied by the NFL this season?
