If the Giants win tomorrow, it will take alot of pressure on the Packers and Cowboys GO REDSKINS
Da Bears are pretty much a pushover at this point. I think the Giants could beat the Vikings but that means we'd still have to win the next two. Hmmmm. First round bye would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Agreed. I'd rather play the boys in the postseason than the Giants.
really? I would rather play NYG if I were the Eagles. It would be so un-eaglish for them to get a first-round bye. There supposed to go on a playoff run before falling just short. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikings suddenly wake up in the postseason. Just look at what the Cardinals did last year. Saints could fall apart. Or not. Who knows what will happen? But at least people are starting to notice some of the other teams besides the Saints and Colts (Chargers, Eagles, etc.)
I still hope we keep the #5 seed and play the Cardinals, even back to back, since our schedule end with a game at Phoenix. Thinking at the Eagels 2 things came to my mind Eagles: 4th and 26 Giants: Favres last pass for the Packers I didn't like both...
I'm guessing the Giants will be pretty much eliminated from the playoff picture IF they lose to the Redskins tonight?
Dunno about the tiebreakers. Cowboys, Packers and Giants can all finish 9-7. We won against the Cowboys, but didn't play the Giants. Cowboys are 0-2 vs Giants
The tiebreakers between New York and Green Bay comes down to conference record and the common games if they both finish at 10-6. If New York wins out and Green Bay drops one to either Seattle or Arizona, they would be tied at 8-4 in the conference. Then we move to the common games. The Giants and Packers both had Tampa Bay, Dallas, Arizona and Minnesota on their schedules. New York is currently 3-1 in those games while Green Bay is 1-3 with one game left a piece for each team in the common games. New York would then win the Wild Card over Green Bay if this falls into place. But I didn't count on this to happen, given Green Bays 5 game run before last night and Dallas' December woes. I always thought it would come down to Dallas continuing to struggle for the Giants to jump over them for the final spot in the postseason in the NFC. But its the NFL and stranger things have happened. The games still have to be played. Still two thrilling weeks left in the season.
in the event of a three team tiebreaker between the giants cowboys and packers you first break the tie between dallas and new york b/c they are in the same division then you do tiebreaker against green bay. so if giants, cowboys, and packers all finish with same record then it's giants and packers

Cowboys would have to lose both games to be almost guaranteed to miss the playoffs. I think they'll go 1-1, beating Washington but losing to Philly in the final game, Philly takes the division and could possibly take the #2 seed if Minnesota loses to the Giants at the end. So in other words, if New York makes the playoffs, Philly will be the #2 seed IMO.
Remaining games Packers vs Seahaks @ Cardinals Giants vs Panthers @ Vikings Cowboys @ Redskins vs Eagles
wouldn't be at all surprised to see the giants lose to carolina and the packers and cowboys win next week to eliminate new york and give us our six teams.
