49ers RB Frank Gore Out For The Season With Hip Injury

Discussion in 'San Francisco 49ers' started by BigBlueBruiser, Nov 29, 2010.

  1. San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore had five carries for 52 yards before leaving tonight's 27-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals with a right hip injury. Gore attempted to return to the game, but was unable to continue. Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that Gore will miss the remainder of the season. A two-time Pro Bowler, Gore's season ends with him 147 yards short of a fourth straight 1,000-yard season. Veteran running back Brian Westbrook, who had 5 carries for 9 yards heading into tonight, replaced Gore, gaining 136 yards on 23 carries, his first 100-yard game since December 7, 2008.

Yeah...hopefully it turns out to be accurate. I think they find out more later this week...but the early reports are good for Gore and the Niners.
