The Texans will work out two veteran quarterbacks — Jake Delhomme and Jeff Garcia — on Tuesday. Garcia, 41, worked out for them last week. He played for quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp in San Francisco. Delhomme retired from Cleveland and is raising horses in Louisiana. The Texans are looking for another veteran quarterback to compete with Kellen Clemens behind starter T.J. Yates, the rookie fifth-round pick from North Carolina.
