January 24, 2013 · By God ... Anyway, it was brought to my attention that you’re been referencing me lately, and alluding to my “will” and whatnot. So I’d like to spell this out for you as clearly as I possibly can, okay? Honestly, I couldn’t give two craps who wins an NFL game. You’re playing in your last season, right? So is Tony Gonzalez, Matt Hasselbeck and Sam Bradford... Source: http://profootballmock.com/god-to-ray-lewis-honestly-i-didnt-care-who-won-that-game/
It always cracks me up when athletes say winning was 'the lord's will'. Do they even know what they are saying? Or are they simply parrots who think you have to say something about god after winning because that's what everyone else does?
I'll just keep my mouth shut on the christianity topic at the risk of ruffling feathers. But the message from "god" is hilarious.
God cares about everyone playing in the game so its wrong to say he doesnt care who wins in a sense. I doubt Ray is a literal name it and claim it dumb baptist type ? He worked his butt off to play 17 years, its not like he doesnt get that part of it. theres Christians on both teams. Its normal to be depressed after a loss. You are supposed to thank God in all things win or lose. Just because the cameras dont catch it doesnt mean later on after getting over losing that they dont thank God and acknowledge the situation.
Ray is gonna get a statue outside of the ravens stadium, according to espn. i'm sure all you steeler fans will donate heavily to the construction fund!:icon_cheesygrin:
