For the Saints, I like first two picks.. but I doubt they got WR in the third.. they have a ton of depth at WR they have been developing for years now + Kenny Stills who ended up doing great his rookie season.
I feel like Colston is starting to fall off so it would be smart to get a replacement lined up. They have a ton of speed and Coleman would add the size that they may be missing with Colston not playing at the same level
I agree about Colston.. BUT Nick Toon (4th round 2012) he's the Colston replacement, as with Stills playing at such a high level Morgan could compete for that position also.. but much like Donald Driver did in GreenBay, I don't see NO releasing Colston. He'll have a role next year (unfortunately) if not keep his starting job altogether.
There is zero chance of the trade between St Louis & Minny because it doesn't add up. If you are going to use trades in your mock I recommend getting the NFL Draft Value Chart, you can find it at Walter Football. All draft positions are assigned a points value, and #2 pick is worth 2600,while #8 is worth 1400,therefore a net difference of 1200 points. You have only assigned 500 points by giving the Rams pick 40,so the offer would be rejected. In order to go from #8 to #2,the Vikings would have to give up their 2nd rounder & both 3rd rounders.
Draft value chart is largely irrelevant now since the advent of the rookie wage scale...not that it wasn't already, but that was really the final nail in the coffin.
What Walnuts said and combine that with the fact that they would most likely throw in future picks. I didnt want to get into that but I think it happens. With Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Oakland possibly taking a QB the Vikings can sit back at #8 and wait. If the Rams can get the same player at #8 as #2, then the value is there for them. They add a high 2nd round pick and potentially a future pick. The only other team I see trading up to #2 is the Falcons. A team that already has a ton of pieces and is really good, they dont need their picks as bad. Moving up a few picks to nab Clowney would be huge for them.
I don't want it but could easily see Cleveland moving up if they think their QB could be taken by Jacksonville or someone else going to 2. Getting the QB they want is all that matters to this group right now.
I'm not sold on them but trust me, I've seen the reports. There are worse guys out there I guess, especially if they added another playmaker like Benjamin or one of the top TEs, along with a quality RB in rd3 or later. I think some of the Manziel hate and criticism of his play is exaggerated, although I'll admit it's not the safest decision or the one I'd prefer. But crap, our QB situation couldn't get a whole hell of a lot worse, could it? I still think, IF they draft a solid QB or four, the team is closer to a turnaround than some people give the Browns credit for.
Manziel is a legit first round QB. but IMO has to many hole to be a sure fire Top 3. Biggest thing with him is his head
I dislike him quite a bit. Entertaining to watch but I dont think will succeed in the NFL. With that being said, reports are that the Browns really like him
A lot of things have "been said." It's also been said, by me, that the "Manziel love led to Chud firing" notion is ridiculous. It's five months until the draft, and the guy could go number one. I find it extremely hard to believe this was the situation that led to his firing.
I agree it's only rumour ,not saying I believe it.But with Lombardi running the show you never know.I feel sorry for Browns fans, you're just like any other fans who want to feel positive about your team and cheer for a winner. You have a decent defence and some good pieces on offence, but I think Lombardi was the worst thing to happen to Cleveland.
