Ex-NFL QB Mike McMahon Is Now A CFL Backup

I always thought former Lions and Eagles quarterback Mike McMahon should have moved to wide receiver. He's a great athlete, a hard worker who would put in the time necessary to learn the nuances of route running, and, let's face it: He'll never be a good quarterback.

Doesn't surprise me - even the CFL needs guys who can actually hit WRs.

As for moving position, i don't think he's athletic enough to be a WR, i might be wrong on that, but i'm not sure he's athletic enough to be a success.

 

He very well may be the starter in TO soon. Allen is out and Bishop is in, with McMahon not far behind Bishop.

 

What is the CFL?

 

Mike McMahon is no better then a backup QB, no matter what league he plays in.

 

Saw him playing the other day and Akili Smith was the opposing QB.
