A report in the Peoria (Ill.) Journal Star has 14-year veteran tight end Marcus Pollard set to sign with the Falcons. The tight end was released by the Patriots earlier this week. He's also played for the Colts, Lions and Seahawks in his professional career.

He's long past his prime, but with Martrez Milner out, we needed to sign someone.

This a good signing for the Red Zone offense, and for 3rd downs. Good move.

exprienced guy to go TE. Now you need a WR.

    Agreed, good pickup.

Roddy White is no joke. I think Falcon's fans are happy he flies under the radar.

One of our more interesting cuts will be coming soon. Truth is, we are loaded at WR with young, hungry guys like Harry Douglas, Laurent Robinson, and Mike Jenkins. I'll be sad to see Jennings or Finneran let go due to roster limitations.

b/c he couldn't let go of Vick. Basically anyone that made on field support of Vick last year was headed for the door.

Good pick-up. Milner is not the answer at TE, and the position should be top priority in next years draft, along w/the offensive and defensive lines.
