What a piece of history this is, credited with being the match that made Ricky Steamboat a star. Ric Flair is the TV Champion. His partner Greg Valentine is on color and spends the match talking about this "young punk" Steamboat being in his first main event.

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was one of my favorites.

 

Same here...WWF really dropped the ball with him aside from Wrestlemania 3.

 

I agree. Was WM3 the one when he faced Macho-Man with George The Animal at ringside?

 

Yeah, one of the best wrestling matches of all time. He won the IC title over Savage but then dropped it shortly after to the Honky Tonk Man after asking the WWF for some time off to be with his wife who was going to give birth to his first child. He was pretty much crap on by the WWF after that.
