Tarvaris Jackson is expected to backup starting quarterback Brett Favre in the season opener in Cleveland, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Vikings coach Brad Childress said earlier this week that he wanted to see how Jackson and veteran Sage Rosenfels performed in practice. He said last week the backup could change from week to week.
