The Chargers have signed free-agent cornerback Crezdon Butler and released end Drake Nevis, the club announced Tuesday. The Bill released Butler, 6-foot and 183 pounds, at the end of training camp last month. The Chargers are the fifth team to employ Butler, 26. In four seasons, he has played in 11 games without a start. His head coach with the Cardinals in 2011 and 2012 was Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt. The Steelers used a fifth-round draft pick Clemson's Butler in 2010. Source: San Diego Union Tribune
