The Washington Redskins have moved quickly in their pursuit of Mike Shanahan. The former Denver Broncos coach flew to Washington on owner Dan Snyder's plane hours after the team fired Jim Zorn. Shanahan landed at Dulles International Airport near Redskins Park in mid-afternoon and was driven away in a limousine. Source: National Football Post
who cares who is coaching there? the most important question is, 'has snyder figured out he needs to get out of the personnel/coaching decisions?'
Once this deal is done, what are the odds Mike S will bring Brandon Marshall from Denver onboard? Will be a interesting offseason in DC.
Just to clarify, "lands in Washington" is literal, not figurative. But, as we all know, it soon will be figurative.
Does he have John Elway, TD, and his dirty OL schemes with him? In that case, I'd be scared :icon_eek:
Ya, but Shanny has been off pretty bad in the personnel department for a few years. Luckily with a GM, I dont think he will have as much input as some will speculate, which is good for Washington. Bad for Washington, I think he is overrated as a coach minus Kubiak I think he will have as much success as Gibbs did in his return
don't forget romanowski pumping the entire team full of steroids ..................... :icon_cheesygrin:
Sure. It's debatable how good a coach and GM they got, but going from Cerrato and Zorn (2 guys who will never be in those positions again), to Allen and Shanny has got to feel good, at least on the surface. Guess we'll find out. **********Automerged Doublepost**********
