Carolina Panthers restricted free agent linebacker Thomas Davis left today's practice with an undisclosed injury, Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer reports. According to Gantt, Davis was backpedaling during an individual drill when he slipped and fell to the ground. Davis walked off the field with Ryan Vermillion, the Panthers' head trainer. The injury is not believed to be serious, but it is noteworthy as Davis is coming off surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee which ended his 2009 season after just 7 games.

I have grounds to say that I played RB and Safety with a partially torn MCL and a broken bone in my hand.

  4. an MCL and an ACL are completely different.

    Eric Norwood, come on down.

  6. for now it's Jamar Williams. However, I think Dan Connor should be moved there.

Keith Bulluck is still out there.

If worst comes to worst they could always sign Cato June.

Nah you're craptin me, I know that dumbbutt. Both are critical parts to your knee.

  11. Bulluck may not be healthy. I think Connor is better than June.

    Wow huge blow..

  13. Yeah but the MCL is less crucial than the ACL.

Cato June, Morlon Greenwood, Rocky Boiman, Keith Bulluck, Darrell McClover

Pretty much Bulluck is the only starter-type player out there

  15. that was my point. I think the Panthers should see what they have in Dan Connor.

Connor is a MLB and is currently backing up Beason. If they let him try out at OLB it'll be interesting to see who wins the Williams/Connor/Norwood battle
