Oregon State strongman defensive tackle Stephen Paea put on a staggering feat of strength today, shattering the NFL scouting combine bench press record with 49 repetitions of 225 pounds. He broke the previous mark set by Arkansas offensive guard Mitch Petrus, who put up 45 reps. "I did okay, I didn't do great," Paea said. 'I wanted to do 50." Paea underwent surgery after damaging his lateral meniscus in his right knee during a practice drill at the Senior Bowl. A magnetic resonance imaging exam revealed the injury. Initially, Paea was hopeful that it wasn't serious at all.

Um.. Lets see.. Allen was all of about 32 when he did 47. This kid is all of 21? Just sayin.. :p

And unless you can prove that this kid benched more than 692 lbs I am still gonna say Larry Allen is stronger. lol

And my point to all this was... Larry Allen is stronger than this kid.. lol Didn't want to turn this into a pissing match.

Me either. Dude, as impressive as this kid was Larry Allen did 43 reps after being in the league for 12 seasons. That is a fact, and I would like to see if this kid can do 40+ after 12 seasons of getting his body abused.

    again.. just sayin.. lol

He should be a very good 4-3 DT or a solid 5 tech in a 3-4

  17. dude is a beast. If he hadn't have torn his meniscus he would be ranked alot higher.

Wrong.. But at this point it is all speculation and opinion. Let's just agree that this kid is freaking strong and so is Larry Allen.
