Eagles coach Andy Reid missed the team’s walk-through practice this morning as his son Garrett Reid has died. Reid was found dead in an apartment in Lehigh, Pa., where the Eagles hold training camp. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and authorities said there were no signs of foul play. General manager Howie Roseman announced the news at a press conference that was streamed live on the team's Web site. Garrett Reid had been in trouble in the past for drug and gun charges. Wow, sad news indeed. Losing one of your children should be any parents worst nightmare. My thoughts and prayers are with Andy Reid and his family. R.I.P.
Holy crap... Wishes are with Andy and the family. I hate hearing stories of peoples kids passing...can't even imagine. RIP Garrett.
What a sad end to a pretty messed up life for Garrett. You only hope it wasn't an OD but the track record isn't good.
Rest In Peace what makes me even sicker are the jackasses all over facebook using this as a reason to taunt the Eagles. Makes me freaking sick.
My dbag giants fan friends have for their statuses "Andy Reid; Father Of The Year.". Id like to actually hurt someone. This was horrible and tragic news. Garrett had a long, hard fight with drugs and whether or not that was the main contributing factor or not, may he rest in peace.
No matter what team you cheer for no man should have to go through this with their child and it should not be used to talk smack about the Eagles. R.I.P. Garrett and the Reid family will be in my prayers.
not really surprising since he did have a drug problem but still shocking when anyone dies at a young age
I'm more surprised people are willing to post smack under their very publicly trackable Facebook accounts.
