It’s championship week for the Patriots, who will claim the AFC East crown Sunday if they can beat the Dolphins in Miami. The Pats return to work today, and Tom Brady [stats] and company are well aware of what lies ahead this weekend.

“It assures you a home playoff game,†Brady told WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan this morning. “That’s goal No. 1. That’s what we can accomplish this week. We always talk about championship games, and this is a championship game.â€

    So, how about those Dolphins?

“They won a big game yesterday against Seattle, a team we lost to,†Brady said. “It’s a team we always have a tough time with down in Florida. They’re athletic. They can rush the quarterback. Cameron Wake is one of the best players we’ll play all season.â€
