Jeff Saturday, a longtime anchor of the Indianapolis Colts offensive line before playing one season with the Green Bay Packers, says he will retire after Sunday's Pro Bowl.

Saturday, finishing up his 14th NFL season, made the Pro Bowl for the sixth time even though he was benched late in the season by the Packers. On Thursday, he said he would take time to consider whether he wanted to keep playing.

But in an appearance Friday morning on WFNI-AM in Indianapolis, Saturday said he had decided to retire.

"We'll finish it with sunsets in Hawaii and call it a much better career than I would have anticipated," Saturday said on the Grady and Big Joe Show.

Saturday, 37, an undrafted player who made the Colts roster in 1999, became their starting center in 2000 and did not relinquish the job until leaving for Green Bay as a free agent after last season.
