The NFL Players Association issued a “fraud alertâ€￾ Tuesday regard a Phoenix-based woman who runs a real estate investment company known as Team Investments.

The alert was issued after Tanya Maria Marchiol, the CEO of Team Investments, was arrested on Oct. 21 and was charged with federal criminal charges.

Walnuts's Take: Woops. Hopefully nobody is out any major coin as a result of this, always a bummer to hear about people who don't know how to handle their money being taken advantage of by shady investment outfits.

Does the NFL or the teams run investment courses for players? In the NRL in Australia all rookies must attend financial seminars and investment courses to give them guidance on financial matters.

I think they get some sort of "education" during the rookie symposium?

No they do not. Most of them talk amongst themselves when it come to investments. You would think after what happened to Vick and akers they would.
