Ravens RB Ray Rice Reportedly Suspended 2-Games For Beating Wife

The suspension for Baltimore Ravensrunning back Ray Rice will be shorter than many speculated it will be.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, commissioner Roger Goodell will be suspending Rice for the first two games of the 2014 season. The suspension is expected to be announced by the league later today.

Rice is being punished under the league’s personal conduct policy after being arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault of his now-wife back in February at an Atlantic City, N.J., casino.

So Lane Johnson gets 4 for PEDs and Ray Rice gets 2 for beating his woman. Seems fair.

 

c'mon ward, everyone knows that PEDs are much wosre than felony aggravated assult charges against women.

James Harrison fined $125,000 for knocking out Colt McCoy a few years ago.

Ray Rice fined $58,000 for knocking out his wife.

 

You're literally better of getting drunk and killing a guy than smoking weed.

most of Harrinson's fine was because he damaged NFL equipment ie: shoulder pads, helmet. Has anything happened to the Colts owner yet?

 

Ohhhhh I cannot wait to hear what the holier than thou Dungy has to say about Rice and Harbaugh's comments...you know...it was just a mistake.

Certainly a different penalty than the one CB A.J. Jefferson of the Vikings got when he allegedly choked out his wife. Look that up when you have a chance.

 

Only 2 games...can't beat that.

 

Goodell is getting royally beaten up on all sides by this decision.
