NFL is adding sensors underneath players shoulder pads that track their movements on the field. This could be an interesting way to determine how good a receiver is at breaking away from defenders, route running. How well a RB sees a running lane. But what I find most interesting is it gives a way to determine skill sets of a defense without just using the 'eye test'. We could now see if a player has indeed lost a step or not. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...m-for-real-time-on-field-stats-130425708.html
Sounds like a potential revenue stream for the NFL. They could possibly sell that data to the highest bidder of some video gaming company.
Oh they will sell the data, that we can count on. But hopefully enough FF sites get a hold of it and make good use for it.
