Steelers RB Tandem Charged With Marijuana Possession

According to KDKA Radio, Pittsburgh Steelers running backs LeGarrette Blount and Le’Veon Bell were both charged by Ross Township Police Department Wednesday with marijuana possession. Bell was also charged with a DUI.

The players were reportedly found with 20 grams of marijuana in a black Camaro when stopped on McKnight Road today.

The terrible part of this story is if the Rooney's wind up suspending these guys for a game each and the team decides to bring Isaac Redman in for a look...ugh...I shudder to think.

 

If they are suspended, it won't happen until 2015.

 

Bell shouldn't be close to a suspension for this instance.

 

if pot laws keep being passed at the current rate,with in 5 years smoking pot will not be illegal anywhere in the usa. will the league then drop pot off the banned list by the league?

Saw an article recently in my local newspaper that said that pot could be used as a painkiller. If pot becomes legal in all 50 states, there may be a tradeoff between the owners and the players. The owners may say we'll let you use pot as a painkiller IF you agree to HGH testing.

I used to work with a lady who's a HUGE Steelers fan. She used to say that the Steelers don't have any lawbreakers on their team. This was before Big Ben had his troubles and this latest incident. Wonder what she says now.

 

Steelers announced today that they will not suspend either player and the punishments will be handled internally with no media.
