Seahawks Place CB Jeremy Lane On IR/Designated To Return List After Injuring Groin Vs The Packers

The Seahawks have placed cornerback Jeremy Lane on Injured Reserve with a designation to return, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.. The move was first reported by ESPN and since confirmed.

That means Lane can begin practicing in six weeks and return to the team in eight weeks. Teams can use this designation once a year, and Seattle used it last year on left tackle Russell Okung when he suffered a foot/toe injury in week two and returned later in the season.
