My parents are throwing a bbq at which I'll be the grill master. Nothing huge. Probably only about 6 of us. Just basic burgers, dogs, grilled blackened shrimp, potato salad, macaroni salad, various cheeses with pepperoni and crackers, mixed fruit platter, veggie platter with ranch dip, deviled eggs, and cheesecake among other desserts my mother is making. And plenty of alcohol and tunes... We will walk across the street to the river where the township's fireworks display will be happening. What are you guys doing?
Neighborhood block party next door, everyone's been donating their recycling for the last couple months to sponsor the kegs and bbq supplies. Fireworks outlawed due to heat and drought conditions unfortunately, but hey weed became legal on the first so we'll be plenty sparkly.
Damn man. I wish I lived in a neighborhood cool enough to party together. We all basically just give each other polite hellos. No real meaningful interaction.
