TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- After their worst performance of the season, the Arizona Cardinals' lead in the NFC West is down to a precarious one game over surging Seattle. Drew Stanton and the Cardinals' offense barely have a pulse. The usually stout defense was riddled for 500 yards in Arizona's 29-18 loss at Atlanta on Sunday, a game that was not nearly as close as the final score indicated. Now the road only gets rougher. _________________________ Cornerback Patrick Peterson acknowledged that the defense has to step up with Palmer out, something that certainly didn't happen in Atlanta.''We still have all the confidence in the world in Drew but we're still playing with a backup quarterback,'' Peterson said. Enough is enough. Bruce Arians continues his chirping about his supreme confidence in the abilities of Drew Stanton. While I think Arians is one of the best HC's out there, Stanton's flawed and the Cards are in dire straights to make the playoffs much less win another game this season. With absolutely no running game all season, simply stated, the Cards are QB-dependent. Having a QB that has led his team to one (1) offensive touchdown in the last twelve (12) quarters may instill a lot of confidence in Arians, but for us in Birdland, the scoring prospects against the defensive units of the Chiefs, Rams, Seattle and SF in the final four games are .
Well, no doubt both of your teams, the Cardinals and chiefs are sliding right now. Fortunately, one of them is guaranteed to win this week. ...... unless they tie.
