With only two OTA practices remaining, the Chicago Bears do not expect to see former first-round pick Gabe Carimi until next week’s minicamp. The Bears went through their eighth OTA on Tuesday at Halas Hall and general manager Phil Emery reiterated what he said last month: Carimi will be welcomed when he returns. The club’s top pick in 2011 has been training almost exclusively with former Pro Bowl center LeCharles Bentley in Scottsdale, Ariz., this offseason. He did attend a voluntary three-day minicamp in mid-March. “Gabe is doing what he feels is best for Gabe and I think I've said it in the past, we'll welcome him with open arms when he comes,†Emery said. “I look forward to seeing how he's doing.†Source: Chicago Tribune
