The Chicago Bears are expected to tender an offer to defensive tackle Nate Collins, who is a restricted free agent.

The Bears have until March 12 – the start of the new league year – to secure Collins with a tender that would be worth $1.33 million.

Collins worked his way into the rotation last season and was credited with 13 tackles, three quarterback pressures and one tackle for loss. Of the nine defensive linemen that finished the season on the roster, three are scheduled to be unrestricted free agents – end/tackle Israel Idonije and tackles Henry Melton and Amobi Okoye.
