The Bears announced Wednesday that RB Kahlil Bell is officially under contract with the team. Bell signed his restricted free agent tender, which is a one-year deal worth $1.26 million. The fourth-year veteran saw the most significant playing time of his career last season, starting three games while Matt Forté was injured and rushing 79 times for 337 yards (4.3 average). He also caught 19 passes for 133 yards (7.0 average) and a touchdown. Bell is expected to serve as the No. 3 back behind Forté — who has yet to sign his franchise tender — and free-agent addition Michael Bush. Source: ProFootball Weekly
