Bears Re-Sign DE Israel Idonije To A One-Year Deal

    The Chicago Bears have re-signed defensive end Israel Idonije to a one-year contract, the team announced on Twitter. Financial terms were not disclosed. Signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Manitoba-Canada, Idonije joined the Bears in 2004 and has racked up 224 tackles, 21 sacks and 15 passes defensed in 118 career games. The 6-foot-6, 275-pound defensive lineman has started 31 of 32 games the last two seasons and has posted 101 tackles with 13 sacks and four forced fumbles.
