After missing the last three games and four of the last five due to a hamstring injury, the Bengals are about to get one of their more productive pass rushers back for Sunday’s game against St. Louis. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap was limited in practice for a second straight day, but the second-year player sounded optimistic that he would be able to go. Dunlap was hitting his stride at midseason with three sacks in two games before he injured his hamstring on the next to last play of the Nov. 6 game at Tennessee. Since then Dunlap has missed four of the last five. Even with his absence, Dunlap leads the team with 22 quarterback pressures. With his speed and ability to rush from the edge and the Rams allowing the most sacks in the league, the Bengals could quite possibly have their fourth five-sack game of the season.
