The Cincinnati Bengals have their ace in the hole back on the field. Geoff Hobson of the team's official website reported wide receiver A.J. Green returned to practice Wednesday. ESPN's Chris Mortensen earlier reported that Green was expected to return to practice for the first time Wednesday after bruising his knee July 26. Green was expected to participate in individual drills after missing 19 sessions this summer, according to Mortensen. Viewers of HBO's "Hard Knocks" got a behind-the-scenes look at his rehab during Tuesday's episode, but it was clear from the outset that Green's injury never threatened to sideline him beyond the preseason.
