Bill Parcells Still Holds Grudge Against Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland

Bill Parcells, on the eve of his biggest career award, remembered his biggest career failure by noting he doesn’t talk with one-time protégé, Miami Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland. The fall-out remains from Ireland accompanying team owner Steve Ross to interview Jim Harbaugh without Tony Sparano’s knowledge.

"I only know (Senior Vice President of Football Operatons) Dawn Aponte down there well," Parcells said Friday in Canton, Ohio, before his Hall of Fame induction Saturday night. "She’s the only one that I speak to from time to time, and not very often."

Parcells will be joined by wide receiver Cris Carter, offensive lineman Larry Allen, defensive tackles Curley Culp and Warren Sapp, left tackle Jonathan Ogden and linebacker Dave Robinson in making up the 2013 clbutt.
