The Broncos have started making changes in the personnel department. Matt Russell on Tuesday was promoted to director of player personnel. Russell, the former University of Colorado linebacker, was in charge of college scouting for the Broncos since joining the staff in 2009. Keith Kidd remains in his role as director of pro personnel. Russell, who previously worked for Philadelphia and New England, is famous for being the scout who discovered Matt Cassell at the University of Southern California. Source: Denver Post
