The Cleveland Browns have sliced their roster down to 80 players, cutting nine players today prior to Monday's NFL deadline to get down to a 75-player limit.

The Browns released former sixth-round wide receiver Carlton Mitchell as well as offensive linemen Jake Anderson and Matt Cleveland, defensive back Emanuel Davis, linebacker JoJo twinkyson, punter Spencer Lanning, wide receivers Bert Reed, Jermaine Saffold, and Owen Spencer.

Drafted two years ago out of South Florida, Mitchell has played in 14 games and has only caught three passes.
