The Chargers have signed fifth-round draft pick QB Jonathan Crompton to a four-year deal, according to a league source. Crompton was selected 168th overall out of Tennessee and was evaluated closely by several teams before the draft. Chargers coach Norv Turner is a master developer of quarterbacks and has enjoyed great success with both high and low picks. Last year for the Vols, Crompton threw for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions with a 136.0 passer rating. Source: NFL.com
