Concussion-like Symptoms Could Sideline Georgia CB Branden Smith

    Georgia might be without cornerback and punt returner Branden Smith for Saturday’s game against Arkansas. Smith did not practice Wednesday because of what coach Mark Richt called “concussion-like symptoms.†“He actually got knocked out of bounds at yesterday’s practice and had a contact-related headache,†Richt said Wednesday night. “I’m not even sure on his status [for Saturday], to be honest with you.†If Smith doesn’t play, Carlton Thomas and Logan Gray “would be the top two candidates†to return punts, Richt said. Sanders Commings and Jordan Love would get more work at corner, Richt said.
