Dallas Cowboys offensive guard Kevin Kowalski is expected to be out two to four weeks with a bruised knee he suffered during Tuesday’s afternoon practice, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Kowalski was injured participating in two-on-two drills between offensive guards and defensive linemen. He limped off the field.

Kowalski started training camp as the Cowboys’ first-team left guard but moved back to his reserve role after Nate Livings returned from injury late last week. Kowalski was competing against Livings, Mackenzy Bernadeau, David Arkin, Phil Costa and Ron Leary for playing time and a roster spot.
