In an effort to buttress a thinning backfield rotation, the Cowboys promoted Chauncey Washington from the team's practice squad. To make room for Washington, the Cowboys cut veteran guard Daniel Loper. Washington will provide some insurance as Dallas enters its game against Philadelphia on Saturday with injured starter Felix Jones and 34-year-old reserve Sammy Morris as the only other tailbacks on the roster. Jones, who hasn't practiced all week after his hamstring tightened in the Cowboys' 31-15 victory over Tampa Bay, is listed as questionable on the team's official report.
