Cowboys Still Looking To Handle TE Jason Witten With Care

    After playing 78 percent of the Cowboys’ offensive snaps in the team’s 24-17 victory over the New York Giants last week, tight end Jason Witten participated in practice Monday.

    While Witten appears to be in good condition less than a month after suffering a lacerated spleen Aug. 13, the Cowboys are being cautious with the seven-time Pro Bowler.

    “I think we have to monitor him,†head coach Jason Garrett said. “We have to see how he feels… He has to communicate with us. It’s hard for us to tell if he’s doing OK. He just has to again communicate that with us and we’ll make the necessary adjustments.â€
