On Tuesday the team re-signed safety Jonathan Amaya, who spent the 2010 season with the Dolphins, and linebacker Mike Rivera, who was one of the final cuts in 2011.

To make room for both on the roster offensive guard Ray Feinga and safety Troy Nolan were released.

Feinga has spent the previous two seasons in an on-again, off-again role with the Dolphins. He was cut at the end of training camp this year but re-signed in week one once Artis Hick was placed on injured reserve.

The Dolphins claimed Nolan off the waiver wire, and hoped he'd compete for playing time, if not a starting role.
