The Eagles received some good news on Thursday. Slot cornerback and kick returner Brandon Boykin has been cleared to return to action after a concussion he suffered in the Eagles' 48-30 loss to the Vikings last Sunday.

Coach Kelly: Brandon Boykin will practice today. He has been cleared to go.

Boykin's injury occurred on an unsightly play during a kick return. Boykin landed on his head after being tackled during the return and was on the ground for several minutes before being helped off the field. Boykin sat out of practice entirely on Tuesday and Wednesday. He is expected to be a full participant in Thursday's practice.

A report earlier in the week by Howard Eskin indicated Boykin's return this week was likely. The Eagles' second year CB furthered this notion on a Wednesday night radio appearance on 94 WIP.

Eagles cb @BrandonBoykin2 just told me on @SportsRadioWIP barring a set back he should be good to play vs Bears

It's good to see Boykin healthy. The Eagles face a tough challenge when they take on a very talented Chicago receiving threat on Sunday Night Football.
