Friday afternoon’s explosive signing is already creating a ripple effect around the country. The Philadelphia Eagles—who started the week at 12/1 to win the Super Bowl—are now listed at 9/1 over at Sportsbook.com after signing former Oakland cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. The defending champion Green Bay Packers (6/1) are still the favorite to win the NFC, while the New England Patriots (6/1) are the only team in the AFC listed above the Eagles. After landing Asomugha, defensive end Jason Babin, cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and backup quarterback Vince Young, should the Eagles be favored over the Packers to win the Super Bowl, or do you agree with where the odds currently sit?

If they stay healthy they have a great chance to win the SB. The big question is.. Can Vick stay healthy? The way he runs might be his undoing.

I'm surprised the odds are not smaller than that.

As an avid "short term investor" I can't believe the signing of a CB (no matter how good) will produce a swing that big. It's gotta be the public jumping on the Eagles and I bet I know where most of them live.

So I'm not betting them, not even with your money

Exactly! I'm sure the Heat were thinking the same thing when the Three Amegos joined them. And, we all know what happened to them, don't we?

Let's play the games first, shall we?

Sigh....if we must. So obstinate of you to not just acquiesce in the face of our utter dominance.

The Miami Heat said that, as well.

Doubtful. Few of them graduated high school. Thems were some awfully big werds for Heat fans.

I hate all this hype the eagles are getting even though the signing were great. Football is not like basketball it takes a crapload more players working as a unit compared to 3 stars being on a roster of 12. Its ridiculous to even compare it and i have a feeling its gonna come back to bite us in the ass
