Despite some indications that quarterback Mike Vick's 2009 base salary of $1.625 million is guaranteed, the truth is that it isn't. Yet. Like any other vested veteran (i.e., player with four or more years of NFL service), Vick would have the ability to take the balance of his base salary as "termination pay" under the labor agreement, if the Eagles were to sign him after Week One.
