While WR Roddy White tops the list of players the Falcons would like to sign before they become free agents next year, we hear RB Jerious Norwood is in line just behind White. Hes not a starter, but the club values Norwoods contributions as the complementary back to Michael Turner and would like to keep the 1-2 punch together for years to come. However, any discussions of a new contract for the fourth-year player will be complicated by the ongoing Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations and if there is no new agreement in place next March, Norwood and White, who would have become unrestricted free agents in 2010 under the old guidelines, will become restricted free agents instead, as the league moves to an uncapped year in 2010 with no new CBA.
