Former Eagles News: What happened to the players that were cut by Chip Kelly in 2013?

Taking a walk down memory lane...

With the regular season coming to a close on Sunday, the Eagles (no matter what happens against the Cowboys) have turned out to be a impressive team. This unit has been through OTAs, training camp, sconces, racial controversy, the preseason and 15 games of the regular season. All of that experience together has added up to a unique and dangerous team that has been produced by Chip Kelly and Howie Roseman.

While the process gained steam in the regular season, there were some stops in the process. The Eagles got rid of several players on the way to their current incarnation and some of those players have moved on to other rosters or are currently working at Home Depots or Nissan dealerships across the country. Let's take a look at what has happened to the collateral damage that was lost in the wake of Kelly's development of a roster that currently has a 9-6 record:

Will Murphy, WR: The Oregon alum was let go in August but was re-signed to the practice squad, where he has remained all season.

Dennis Dixon, QB: The glorified offseason signing was cut in August. After a few weeks on the street, he was signed to the Bills practice squad. All Oregon fans are still confused as to why he isn't on an active roster.

Trevard Lindley, CB: For the third straight offseason the Kentucky alum was let go during final cuts and still remains out of the league.

Ifeanyi Momah, WR: The very tall receiver was released in August after doing literally nothing in the preseason. He is still on the street.

Adrian Robinson, OLB: The compensation in the Felix Jones trade was cut in August. He was claimed by the Broncos and appeared in six games for the Broncos. He was cut in the middle of season and was signed by the Chargers. He appeared in two game with San Diego before being let go. He landed on his third team, the Washington Redskins, just one day before Christmas. He has been on five different teams in less than a year.

Matt Tennant, G/C: The versatile lineman was released during final cuts and has yet to sign with another team.

Everette Brown, OLB/DE: The FSU product was released during final cuts following an impressive preseason. He spent weeks on the street but was eventually signed by the Cowboys. He has appeared in six games for Dallas and produced eight tackles, a sack and a forced fumble this season.

Antonio Dixon, NT: Big Dix was let go in August and has yet to sign elsewhere.

David King, DT: The Eagles final pick in this year's draft was let go during finals cuts. He was on the street for a few weeks but eventually was signed to the Bengals practice squad. Will probably compete for a spot with Cincinnati next season.

G. J. Kinne, QB: The former Tulsa passer was released during final cuts and stayed on the street for a while. He was eventually signed to the Eagles practice squad when Nick Foles and Michael Vick were dealing with injuries.

Matt Kopa, G/T: Kopa was cut in late August and has yet to sign anywhere.

Michael Bamiro, OT: Let go during final cuts, but was signed to the Eagles practice squad. Recently, he received an XBOX One.

Clay Harbor, TE: The three-year Eagles tight end was released during final cuts but was picked up off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Harbor has played well for Jacksonville, appearing in 15 games with seven starts. This season, Harbor has 22 catches for 281 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also got to take a trip to London, which is pretty cool.

Travis Long, OLB: The late addition to the offseason roster was let go during final cuts and immediately signed to the practice squad. He has remained on the practice roster all season.

Russell Shepard, WR: The undrafted free agent was cut in late-August, but was immediately claimed by the Buccaneers. He spent 14 games on special teams for Tampa Bay but never registered a reception or carry on offense. Shepard is considered a special team standout as a gunner for the Buccaneers, but was placed on injured reserve after Week 15 with a toe injury.

Greg Salas, WR: The one-time Rams wide receiver and preseason standout was release during final cuts. He was signed to the practice squad but ended up eventually getting signed by the Jets. In seven games with New York, Salas has produced seven catches for 137 receiving yards and a carry for eight rushing yards.

Danny Watkins, G: The former first-round pick was let go during final cuts in August. He quickly signed with the Dolphins but has remained mostly inactive all season. He has been a healthy scratch for all but one game this season for Miami.

David Sims, S: The former garbage man was a special teams player in 2012, but was let go during final cuts. He has yet to sign on anywhere, but has a relatively active Twitter account.

Matthew Tucker, RB: The TCU product was waived during final cut but was then signed to the practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster during the middle of the season and has stayed there ever since. He appeared in his first game in October against the Cowboys but has only appeared in one other game this season. He is the fourth running back on the roster and has not received a carry.

Emmanuel Acho, LB: The brother of Sam Acho and the hero of ACHOMANIACS everywhere was surprisingly cut in August. He ended up on the Giants practice squad but was signed off by the Eagles in October. He ended up playing six games with the Eagles and secured two tackles on special teams. He was cut again in Week 16 to make way for safety Keelan Johnson and was signed to the practice squad.

Chris McCoy, OLB: The CFL standout was let go during final cuts and was claimed by the Jaguars. He lasted one week with Jacksonville and was a healthy scratch for their first game of the season. He was cut shortly after and was signed by the Raiders for their practice squad. He still remains on Oakland's practice roster.

Kenny Phillips, S: The former Giants was cut following the third preseason game. A series of knee injuries have likely ended his career.

Jamar Chaney, LB: Brian Baldinger's favorite player was waived between the third and fourth preseason games. He was on the street for several weeks before signing with the Atlanta Falcons. He lasted five games with Atlanta but only appeared in one game and failed to register any tackles. Since being cut in Week 8, he has yet to receive any reported interest.

Eddie Whitley, DB: The former Hokie was let go after receiving injury settlement from the Eagles. He suffered a knee injury in the preseason and has yet to be signed by another team.

Derek Carrier, TE: Brandon Lee Gowton's man-crush was waived during the first wave of cuts in the preseason. He signed to with 49ers practice squad before the start of the season and was elevated to the active roster in November. He has appeared in five games, but has yet to register a catch. - [BLG Note: soon.]

Brad Wing, P: The Australian was cut before the season and has yet to sign with another team.

Eddie McClam, DE: The former Lions practice squad player was cut shortly after signing. He has yet to be heard from anywhere else.

Will Shaw, TE: The Youngstown State rookie was let go in August and is currently out of the league.

Nic Purcell, OT: The New Zealand lineman was cut in August and has yet to catch on anywhere else.

James Winchester, LS: The long snapper was brought in for a week during the preseason but was cut and is out of the league.

Nick Miller, WR: The veteran was cut twice and has yet to receive a contract with another team.

Daryell Walker, DL: The Hampton alum was waived in the first round of cuts for the Eagles. He remains out of the league but on Twitter.

Isaac Remington, DL: Chip Kelly's favorite waste of a roster spot was cut in August but signed to the practice squad. He was released from the practice roster in September and is likely shining Kelly's shoes as you read this.

Isaac Sopoaga, DL: The veteran was swapped to the Patriots for an exchange of draft picks at the trade deadline. Since leaving Philadelphia, Sopoaga has produced two tackles and one sack in six games for the Patriots. He was a healthy inactive against the Ravens in Week 16.

Dallas Reynolds, OL: The BYU product and Andy Reid's sole heir to his Neil Diamond eight-track collection, was cut in August. He spent a few weeks on the street before playing the roster dance with the Giants for several weeks. He has appeared in the last two games for New York. He is the third member of the 2012 Eagles to play for the 2013 Giants...

Cullen Jenkins, DT: The veteran was cut due to a massive contract shortly after Kelly arrived. He signed with the Giants and has started 14 of 15 games this season. He has produced 27 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble for the Giants.

Mike Patterson, DT: The long-time Eagles was let go by the franchise after Kelly was hired. Patterson was signed by the Giants along with Jenkins in the offseason. He has appeared in 15 games for the Giants this season and has collected 21 tackles as a backup.

Nnamdi Asomugha, CB: The former big-money signing was cut by the Eagles in the offseason. He signed with the 49ers in order to be the NFL player to steal more money and delay his acting career. He was cut in the middle of the season and only appeared in three games for San Francisco. He recently announced his retirement and is looking into a permanent parking spot at his local Sonic.

Shaun Prater, CB: The former Bengal was claimed by the Eagles prior to the season but only lasted one game before being cut. He was claimed by the Vikings and has recently played a lot for Minnesota. He is one of only two players to have intercepted a Foles pass all season. He has appeared in seven games and started two contests for the Vikings. He has five tackles and the aforementioned interception on the season.

Curtis Marsh, CB: The former third-round pick was let go during final cuts. He spent a few weeks on the street before being signed by the Bengals. He lasted two games on Cincinnati's special teams unit but was cut and eventually re-signed by the Eagles. He has appeared in two games since returning to Philadelphia. He has yet to register any tackles.

Brandon Hughes, CB: A special teams player and backup cornerback lasted just one game into the Kelly regime before being placed on injured reserve and eventually was released with an injury settlement. He has yet to sign elsewhere and had one tackle in his sole appearance with the Eagles this season. He played for the team from 2010-2013 in case you failed to notice.

B.J. Cunningham, WR: The wide receiver battled injuries throughout the offseason and was let go during the summer. He re-signed with the Eagles during the season and appeared in two games on special teams before being cut. He re-signed to the practice squad shortly after his release.
