New York Giants left tackle David Diehl underwent surgery on his broken left hand, Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger reports. "Well it's good to know that my hand and finger are now fixed. Does anyone need screws?," Diehl wrote when posting an X-Ray of the hand on Twitter. Diehl opened the season at left guard before moving back to left tackle after a season-ending eye injury to Will Beatty. Diehl injured the hand on December 11 and played through it over final month of the regular season and all four of the team's post-season games. Since the injury did not prevent him from practicing, it was kept off the injury report. With Beatty cleared to return to the field, Diehl will likely move back to guard or, as Garafolo notes, could flip over to right tackle in 2012.
