The Giants have signed defensive tackle Mike Patterson to a one-year contract, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Patterson was the Eagles' first round pick in 2005 and has spent his entire eight-year career with that organization. He played in five games last season after undergoing brain surgery in January 2012. He had suffered a seizure in training camp that summer. Patterson is the second former Eagles defensive tackle that the Giants have signed this offseason as earlier they had signed Cullen Jenkins. Source: Newark Star Ledger
