The word coming out of Houston after their first minicamp practice was that the Texans had cut T. J. Yates. Apparently other teams around the league heard about the Texans about to cut Yates and several of the teams started offering deals to the Texans so they could be sure and get Yates. The Atlanta Falcons won the bidding war by trading 4th year linebacker Akeem Dent to the Texans for Yates. Dent has good size at 6-1, 239 pounds and has been clocked at 4.78 in the 40 yard dash.
