The Jacksonville Jaguars have reeled in David Caldwell as the club's new general manager. The Florida Times-Union reported on Tuesday evening that the two sides have finalized a contract. Caldwell, who previously served as director of player personnel for the Atlanta Falcons, will replace Gene Smith, who was fired on Dec. 31. Caldwell leaves a Falcons club which finished with the best record in the NFC at 13-3 and won the NFC South. He will be tasked with turning around a Jaguars team which finished a franchise-worst 2-14 last season and hasn't made the playoffs since 2007. Source: Sports Network
