Maurice Jones-Drew will not be prosecuted in connection with a May 26 incident at a St. Augustine bar where he was accused of assaulting a bouncer, Kate Howard Perry of the Florida Times-Union reports.

Assistant state attorney Christopher France filed an “announcement of no informationâ€￾ Tuesday, saying that the state intends not to proceed with charging the Jacksonville Jaguars runningback with simple battery.

Kasim Howard, a security guard at the Conch House, accused Jones-Drew of sucker punching him in the jaw at the Conch House. Representatives for Jones-Drew have said their client was at the Conch House but not involved in the altercation.
